About Me

My name is Greta and I’m a low-carb keto nutritionist and a holistic health coach. I promote natural whole foods and the low-carb ketogenic way of eating because it is proven to be the most effective diet for long-term weight loss and improving health.

The ketogenic diet was created by doctors and scientists around 100 years ago with the purpose to treat diseases. This diet has been shown to be safe and effective for reversing or greatly improving conditions including obesity, type 2 diabetes, cancer, heart disease, early stages of dementia, post ovarian cystic syndrome, epilepsy, hypothyroidism, mood disorders, and a lot more.

For most of my life, I tried to eat right. I remember I wanted to be really skinny! However, I naturally had bigger bones. I tried dozens of different diets while being a teenager, was a fitness freak at some point, doing intense workouts 7 days a week, and barely eating anything! One time I even stopped eating for a week! However, it always seemed that my body resisted and tried to keep me at around the same base weight, no matter what I did. Each diet was followed by increased hunger and cravings until I would give up, start eating more and moving less… I thought the issue was ME, not having enough willpower. Not being able to stick with low-calorie diets and intense workouts forever.

I was so passionate about health and nutrition. I knew all the calories in different foods, I was recording everything I eat! I was obsessed with numbers. What I didn’t know back then, is that this method is guaranteed to fail. The less you eat and the more you exercise, the more likely you are to fail and regain the weight back.

Is eating less and exercising a lot bad? No. But you have to stay realistic and make sure that if you start something, you are going to stick with it long-term. Can you eat 1200kcal a day for the rest of your life? That’s the number of calories needed for a small child. If you’re not a small child, you will most likely have issues with sticking to this. You want to feel great and be full of energy, and this requires eating more and eating the right types of foods.

We’ve been brainwashed that only calories matter. However, what you eat on a daily basis affects your hunger, satiety, cravings, the amount of foods you will eat, energy levels, hormone levels, your disease risk, your health state, your mental health, and your body weight. Believe it or not, but some foods will make you eat more. Some foods will block fat burning and make you a fat-storing machine!

Years back, when I was a nutrition student, I was following the dietary recommendations in the UK, which are recommending to get 50% of your calories from carbohydrates, 15% from protein, and 35% from fat. I was limiting my fat and saturated fat intake, was limiting my salt, drinking 8 glasses of water, having 5 fruit and vegetables a day, was consuming around 1600 kcal a day, and guess what? I was overweight and always felt hungry!

I was wondering why so many people get overweight and obese? Why everyone gets chronic health conditions? Why people struggle with weight loss so much? Why am I struggling?! Until it hit me… The dietary recommendations are to blame for this, together with the food industry that shapes these dietary guidelines! It’s not science-based. It’s based on what the food manufacturers decide. Food manufacturers fund nutrition studies. They are involved in nutrition education programs. After you finish your degree, you have to be registered, to keep the continuous nutrition and dietetics education, that is funded and hugely influenced by the food manufacturing companies such as Coca-Cola and Kellogg’s. No wonder we have so many clueless nutritionists and dietitians giving bad advice.

I found out about the low-carb keto diet while writing one of my dissertations! After checking all the keto diet research, how it makes people lose more weight, how it reverses the metabolic syndrome (high cholesterol, insulin resistance, obesity, high blood pressure), after reading studies after studies, and realising it was hidden away from us, I was shocked!

I just found out about the way of eating that has tremendous health benefits that outweigh the ones of the conventional low-fat high-carb diet in all areas. It was mind-blowing! And I found out about it myself. The universities won’t teach this for some reason. Things finally started making sense. I came to the conclusion that the clean nutrient-dense ketogenic diet is the optimal diet for humans! It literally heals the most common chronic health conditions, makes you lose weight, and feel great. That’s when I decided to become a low-carb keto nutritionist and start my own nutrition business – Advanced Nutrition and Health.

Advanced Nutrition and Health was found in 2017, with its main goal to help people make healthier choices and change their lives using a low carbohydrate, high fat ketogenic lifestyle. Being healthy can seem difficult or even impossible at some times, and I totally understand that. I try to give you all the needed knowledge and tips for making your new healthy lifestyle as easy, enjoyable, and sustainable as possible. Forget about low-calorie dieting and exercising 7 days a week! You don’t need any of that.

I teach you how to become the healthiest and the best-looking version of yourself. I share practical healthy living tips, optimal nutrition tips, healthy recipes, teach you how to prevent or reverse diseases and extend your life.

I’m a low-carb keto nutritionist and a health coach based in Birmingham UK. However, I work with people all over the world. I coach people privately and create free YouTube content and blog posts to reach as many people as possible and help them to make healthier choices.
